*Southeast Collegiate Career Fair– Student*

What to expect at the fair.

This year students will be hunting for a career. You will be given a brochure complete with a treasure map.. While visiting the kiosks, you will be required to ask the kiosk representatives a question related to the career they are presenting. You will then be given a letter of the alphabet. You will collect the letters to spell out the following GRADUATION, SUCCESS OR CHOICES.

You will also need the kiosk representative to stamp your treasure map as this is a requirement to collect the prize. You are encouraged to work as a team to collect the letters.

We will also be doing a fun interactive picture taking photo opportunity to get you all in the spirit. We will have costumes available for dress up in careers, as well as fun props to create a fun and memorable time. Mr. Laramee will print the pictures for you.

Prizes are as follows:

Success = 150.00 value

Choices = 125.00 value

Graduation=175.00 value

Please note that it is a Southeast Collegiate policy, that cash is never given directly to a student but can be put towards a pizza party, movie party or suitable alternative if won by an individual. Happy Hunting.

Please see Marlene Waterston in the office if you have any questions on this.

What we need from you.

In order for this to be successful, we need you to complete a workshop selection sheet which will be done in period 3 on March 5, 2015. We will do our best to fit in everyone’s top choices, and then fill spaces after that. If you do not complete the worksheet, you will be placed in open presentations. In order for the presentations to be 25 mins in length we need all students to be on time for their scheduled presentations.

You will be given a break at 1:55 not between sessions, please be respectful and do not go outside. There are 3 prizes per group A and group B so you won’t miss out while your in the presentations section of the career day. Most importantly HAVE FUN AND HAPPY HUNTING.

How it will Work

• The student body is split into two groups. Group A will be attending their chosen presentations. This will be for Session 1 and Session 2 which will take up approximately 1 hour and 10mins. While Group A is attending presentations, Group B will be in the gym completing their treasure maps and visiting kiosks while taking pictures. Then we will switch and do the reverse. Your name will be posted on the student board with your schedule.
